GOLDIAN was founded in 1997, when the real estate market was in a stage of explosive development and the wild chase of fortune. As a startup, GOLDIAN took a different path of commitment and innovation. In those years, when everybody was crazy about sales, speed and scale, GOLDIAN was thinking “How to maintain the tender feeling for the land in society?” and “How to help people on this land live a more colorful life?”
With these questions in mind, Mr. Kou Manyuen, the founder of GOLDIAN visited Ms. Anna Chan Chennault, renowned overseas Chinese leader at a private apartment on the top floor of Watergate Complex in Washington D.C. Mr. Kou admired Ms.Anna Chan Chennault for her legendary life and unique charm, which gave him a lot of inspiration. In fact, they have a lot in common, as they are both overseas Chinese with deep love for their motherland. Hence, Ms Anna Chan Chennault took Mr. Kou as a close friend. They often shared views about the current state of society and the future of the world. By and by, they had the idea of “True Love Humanities”: building a humanities community never seen before to convey true love to everybody, and help everybody lives a better, more colorful life.
The result is the Xiangmei Garden, one of the landmarks in Shanghai. When she finally saw the properties herself, Ms. Anna Chan Chennault commented: “You did better than promised!”

Xiangmei Garden turned out to be the beginning of GOLDIAN’s journey on "True Love Humanities". Since then, GOLDIAN has developed a number of premium real estate projects, including Xiangmei Garden, Yulong Palace (Shanghai), Yulong Palace (Kunshan), Shanghai Golden Spring Palace (under construction). Today, GOLDIAN is generally regarded as a pioneer to bring China’s humanities real estate to the world market.

According to the modern business administration theories, above the enterprise “that exists”, there is “tangible enterprise”, “enterprise with a corporate culture” and “enterprise with a philosophy” sequentially.
“Corporate culture” and “philosophy” are exactly what GOLDIAN has been after since its foundation. In GOLDIAN, these goals are collectively called the pursuit of “Humanities”.
The most impressive part of Xiangmei Garden is its layout, featuring seven buildings around a central square, just like seven stars around the moon. With its unyielding commitment to “True Love Humanities”, GOLDIAN later turned these “seven stars” into “seven hearts”, which it has been held as its core corporate values.
Specifically, these “seven hearts” refer to sincerity, confidence, kindness, love, intelligence, wisdom, and perseverance. These are exactly what GOLDIAN holds when it deals with every client, every project, every challenge and every dream. The “moon” means all our clients and friends. With these seven hearts, we will be able to provide all clients and friends with satisfactory service. As a result, we have a better full moon.
